Piramal Foundation Kupwara Joins Independence Day Celebrations at Govt Girls High Drugmulla, BMS Anderhama & GMS Gugloosa Trehgam

 

Kupwara, August 15, 2026: The Piramal Foundation Kupwara team joined students, teachers and community members in celebrating the 80th Independence Day at Govt. Girls High School Drugmulla, BMS Anderhama and GMS Gugloosa, Trehgam.
The celebrations featured flag hoisting, patriotic speeches, songs, cultural performances and student presentations. The enthusiasm, confidence and happiness of the children added a special warmth to the celebrations as they came forward to speak, sing and express their love for the nation.
At Govt. Girls High School Drugmulla, Mr. Syed Basharat Rasool, Tehsildar Drugmulla, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he congratulated the students, teachers and people of Zone Drugmulla and said, “The brightest hope for our nation lives in the eyes of our children. If we give them knowledge, values and confidence, they will carry the dreams of India forward and build a stronger nation.”

 

Mr. Sameer Ahmad Wani, Zonal Coordinator, Drugmulla, extended his warm wishes to students, teachers and residents of Zone Drugmulla. He said, “Independence Day reminds us of the sacrifices behind our freedom and the responsibility we have towards our nation. Seeing the happiness and confidence of our children today fills us with hope that the future of India is in safe and capable hands.”

Mr. Mehraj Ud Din Shah, HoI, BMS Anderhama, appreciated the initiative, saying, “Such celebrations give children the opportunity to express themselves, build confidence and understand the true meaning of freedom and responsible citizenship. Seeing our students participate with such enthusiasm was truly heartwarming.”
Ms. Nighat Aara, HoI, GMS Gugloosa Trehgam, expressed her happiness on the occasion, saying, “I am delighted to celebrate the Independence Day of our country.

We must always remember the sacrifices of those who gave us freedom and work collectively for the development and prosperity of our nation, ensuring that every individual gets the opportunity to grow and contribute.”

Speaking about the celebrations, Gandhi Fellows, Piramal Foundation Kupwara, said, “The most beautiful part of today was seeing children smile, speak with confidence and celebrate together. Their dreams, voices and aspirations are the real strength of our nation.
