Keran Mela 2026: Indian Army and Unacademy Bring Educational Opportunities to Border Students
Keran, 22 September 2026: The Indian Army and Unacademy Kashmir joined hands to inspire the next generation of Keran through scholarships, career guidance, and quality education.
In a significant initiative to connect the youth of the remote border area of Keran with new educational opportunities, the Indian Army organised Edufest Keran 2026 as part of Keran Mela 2026, bringing together more than 200 students, parents, and teachers for a Scholarship Test, Career Counselling, and Motivational Session.
Students from Government Higher Secondary School Keran, Government Boys High School Kundian, Government Boys High School Mandian, and several other schools of the Keran Bowl participated with great enthusiasm.
The presence of Lateef Masudi , Chairman, Unacademy Kashmir, added special significance to the event. Appreciating the initiative, he thanked the Indian Army for creating opportunities for students from a remote border region to dream beyond geographical limitations.
“The talent of students should never be limited by their location. Providing them access to quality education, guidance, and opportunities can help them achieve their dreams,” said Lateef Masudi , Chairman, Unacademy Kashmir.
Parents described the initiative as a ray of hope for their children, particularly for families who face difficulties in accessing quality coaching and career guidance.
“For our children, this is more than a scholarship test.
It is an opportunity to see a bigger future. We now feel that students from Keran can also dream of becoming doctors, engineers, scientists, officers, and professionals.”
Keran Mela 2026 is not limited to sports, culture, and border tourism. It carries a deeper message of empowering the younger generation through education, motivation, and opportunity. The initiative reflects a vision of encouraging students to pursue higher education and contribute to their families, communities, and the nation.
