LG Manoj Sinha Inaugurates 200-Bed Amandeep BR Medicity Hospital in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the 200-bedded Amandeep BR Medicity Hospital, established in collaboration with Ujala Cygnus Healthcare, at Tengpora-Bemina Bypass in Srinagar.

While addressing the inaugural ceremony, the Lieutenant Governor said that the government remains committed to strengthening the healthcare system through modern infrastructure, skilled manpower, and strong public-private partnerships. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, new medical colleges and thousands of health and wellness centres have been established.

Sinha further stated that nearly 90 percent of Jammu and Kashmir’s population is now covered under the universal health insurance scheme, which provides coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family. He added that the improved healthcare infrastructure across the Union Territory is attracting more private investment, giving a significant boost to the health sector.
